Biography

Chiara Rita Piemontese completed her B.Sc. in Mechatronic Engineering in 2023 and her M.Sc. in Mechatronic Engineering in 2026 at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. During her master’s studies, she lived in Munich, Germany, where she worked on robotic ultrasound and image processing at the CAMP laboratories of the Technical University of Munich under the supervision of Prof. Nassir Navab.

She is currently a Research Fellow at the ARSControl lab in Reggio Emilia, working within the TRAMIS project. Her research focuses on surgical robotics, imitation learning, motion planning for autonomous surgical robots, and control algorithms for robot interaction with deformable environments in surgical applications.
